New year, new instance, new #introduction post.
I'm Chris and I'm bad at social media, in that most of the talking to online people I do is in DMs--i.e. rarely ever public. So I guess my main New Year's resolution is to work on that.
I enjoy sci-fi like #StarTrek and #StarWars, as well as #anime, #MagicalGirls, and #GenshinImpact. I anticipate posting/boosting that sort of thing and/or whatever else catches my fancy here, while trying to keep the mood here generally positive.

Welcome!
Have any favorite SF anime series? Planetes is one of mine- near-future combination of space and ensemble cast.
Which Magical Girl series do you like?
@pkemner Hi there! It's hard to pick just one...
For SF: Evangelion and Space Battleship Yamato (I've been putting off watching 2202, should get back on that). I guess Haruhi Suzumiya also counts--that was actually my very first anime.
And for magical girls: Sailor Moon, Precure (primarily Heartcatch and Hugtto, but there are several I haven't seen at all), Madoka, and Cardcaptor Sakura.
I generally consider Eva and Madoka my favorite anime of all time.

Cool! I've seen Yamato 2022, but not the earlier version of it.
Haruhi as a first anime- interesting. Being non-linear, with the 8-episode time loop, and a lot that's unexplained, it sets a high bar.
Madoka is stunning. It's one of the few series I watched multiple times to see how Urobuchi put things together. Sakura was a great CLAMP series too.
