My mother lives 30-45 minutes away by car, city traffic and all. She asked me to prepare some files for her and put it on her laptop before she travels next week. So I prepared everything, and in theory I could have done it remotely, it was only 5GB of data, but I decided to pay her a visit and I put this stuff on my USB stick and I plug it into her laptop and ... USB drive is not formatted.
What!?
When I got home I saw my USB stick is BTRFS!
Okay, mother, you are getting Linux soon.
@darth Good luck with that one...
My parents finally got off of Microsoft a while back and instead just rubber-banded all the way to the same thing on the other side: Apple.
I wouldn't use BTRFS for a USB drive though. Some of the stuff that seems like a great feature on a drive inside a system isn't so great on things like removable media.
@nazokiyoubinbou I have no clue why I made my usb stick btrfs, but it is what it is now. As for my mother ... I think I will put Zorin Pro on her laptop.
