It is time for the season, so this will be the first post in the thread.

I will be giving quick thoughts on the first episode, then speaking about it further on the Otaku in Review being recorded at the end of the month.

So keep an eye on this thread for updates.

Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World (Episode 1):

It's all setup for why they don't trust others. It was nothing amazing, and characters seem alright. There is potential here and I'll give it another episode or 2 to see if its worth watching to its completion.

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess (Episode 1):

That was great. I love me some Anisphia already. Her brother is a diiiiiiiiiiiiick. A yuri isekai with a really funny first episode, yet still had some good drama.

I can't wait for episode 2!

Spy Classroom (Episode 1):

This first episode can only be described as underwhelming. Thought it would be more exciting, and It got a bit better at the end, but not by much.

Unsure if I will watch episode 2, so maybe I'll just check out the light novel one day instead.

Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte (Episode 1):

I read the light novels and they were a lot fun. This first episode proves the anime is going to be just as fun!

The animation at times is not great, but the first episode captures the story and characters so well, its easy to give it a pass. I laughed so hard at times lol.

Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement (Episode 1):

A serviceable first episode. I like how Mitsuha debates on whether she should even go back to the other world for her own safety.

The moments of her brother flashbacks/thoughts are funny. Overall tho, not sure this show will be one I watch weekly. I'll give it another episode to decide.

The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World (Episode 1):

It's not amazing, but I found this first episode rather enjoyable. More interesting than I expected, and the animation quality is good.

I'll definitely give this a 2nd episode.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Episode 1):

This is cute, relaxing. I like how the humor is more subtle and not trying to be just another slapstick rom-com.

I think I'll thoroughly enjoy this show this season.

The Tale of the Outcasts (Episode 1):

Didn't really know what to expect out of this show, and it was good. The only thing is the first episode was super predictable, even to the final second.

Still I want to give it one more episode to determine if I keep up with this one weekly or binge later.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (Episode 1):

The light novel series is a favorite, even if it does get repetitive. This first episode looks great, seems like they'll be doing a fun adaptation.

They made the food look good like it should. The way they end the first episode made me LOL. They nailed the humor from the books too.

As of right now, Kubo is the last new show I'll be checking out. I'll now be deciding which ones I'll give a second episode 2 and watch weekly.

For further thoughts on series, I will post the Otaku in Review episode where we discuss the new shows after we record it and it goes live.

This will probably early February to allow us to watch 2 or 3 of some shows.

@gnitro this show looks so good! I was surprised, and half expecting a guilty pleasure isekai trash, but instead we get an interesting MC, great production quality and the episode flew by!

@gnitro Sounds like my kind of show. I love hating things 😁😁

@To I understand, as I do too... But there are too many shows this season to check out... So I tossed this aside after laughing for about 5 minutes straight

To

@gnitro Fair. Sometimes a short laugh is enough. An example for me would be Ex-Arm. Yes, it was funny, but I couldn't watch more than two episodes.

@gnitro I stopped reading twenty seven works into the title

@ScottSpaziani Good thing there are only 10 words!

@gnitro Maybe I’ll give this one a chance then.

G-Nitro

@TrevorIsland It's a lot of fun. It did a good job of adapting the light novels in the first episode so far.

@gnitro I like the Manga a lot, but don't remember a lot from the beginning. Still worth watching, I guess.

Trevor Dowling

@gnitro I'm on the fence about giving this a try, but most reviews point out that the main dude is super-bigoted, so that is making me very reluctant. Characters that start as bigots or misogynists have historically never won me over with their redemption arc, so I'm pretty sure that will be the case here. I suppose I shouldn't bother wasting my time then.

G-Nitro

@TrevorIsland Yeah he's really bad too. One of those who act like its all okay because if he doesnt act with violence to all, then one may be dangerous.. Sounds like a racist cop who always fears for his life. I hated it

@gnitro I'm on board for this one so far. Watched EP1 today and had a great time. I've been reading they did brand partnerships so the packaging on items is legit!

G-Nitro
Public

@biscuit As long as they keep adapting the light novels and manga as well as episode 1 did, its going to be a fun ride. I'm definitely planning on keeping up with this one weekly.

That's also really cool they did partnerships. its cooler than seeing goofy similar names.

@gnitro I read the manga for a while before dropping it. It wasn't bad per say, it did try a little too hard, though.
