#QuestionOfTheDay: what's your CCG/TCG, TTRPG, or board games hot take? Like an actually scorching hot take that you actually believe and would cause controversy.

*As an example of the kinds of takes i mean you can check out the responses to the previous Question of the Day where I asked for anime, manga, and video game hot takes: https://urusai.social/@ami_angelwings/111156320038982619
"While World War 3 and the subsequent annihilation of the planet once called "Earth" has been attributed to many different global and domestic factors, most historians agree that the inciting incident was when a fediverse user whose name has been lost to time asked for hot TTRPG takes which may or may not have been a kind of bread."
@ami_angelwings anything with "paying the publisher for random cards in a pack, hoping to make a killing", is gambling. Electric gacha is rightfully seen as so. Trading cards need to be recognised, as well as regulated, as so.
@Bigshellevent it's always been really weird to me that "gambling for kids" is allowed as long as it's trading cards
@ami_angelwings YUP. I'm only accepting one kind of gambling for children, and it's the kind that rigged in such a way that they always lose. It's ethical because it's basically the anti 杀猪盘.
@ami_angelwings #Shadowverse is better than Hearthstone.
@ami_angelwings Anyone who continues to give Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast money after knowing they tried to revoke the OGL is a sap. Anyone who continues to do so after knowing they sent the goddam Pinkertons to intimidate someone for receiving the wrong shipment of Magic cards is a simp for authoritarianism.
