I originally posted my Primitive Boyfriend pics and summaries to my Pixelfed account. I'm planning, going forward, to just post all my pics here on Mastodon.
Part cause it's easier for everything to be in one place. Part because the drama with the creator of Pixelfed is a lot and I side with those he hurt.
@mdmrn I got a Pixelfed account years ago and never understood what it offered over just posting on my Mastodon accounts.
@roadriverrail I have friends here who felt the same way. For me, it was the Instagram-like UI. I liked how it looked posting and viewing other posts there, especially image heavy accounts. For me, that was the biggest difference.
That, plus it had the ability to add filters like Insta does for photos.
@mdmrn this is the first time I've heard of the creator having some sort of controversy, if it isn't too much of a bother, would you mind telling me more about it?
